Enamel Works of Art

Mr. Ibrahim Amini was born in Isfahan in 1960, and started working in the artistic environment when he was 9 years old. The process of enamelware is labor intensive and requires about 40 hours from initial firing to its final form. The copper is first hammered into desired shape and some initial embellishments and then fired. This process is repeated three times before Mr. Amini begins the careful painting of the metal. After the final painting, the object d'art is fired for its final time bringing the piece to lustrous finish.
